Northwest Missouri State University basketball prepped for a pair of road games this week, while Bearcat indoor track & field got set for its first meet of the season on this week's KXCV Bearcat Coaches Show.

Northwest men's basketball posted a 1-1 record last week, with its first loss of the season coming against Washburn. The 'Cats bounced back as they throttled Emporia State two days later. Head coach Ben McCollum and sophomore forward Luke Waters joined the show to discuss the upcoming matchups at Fort Hays State and Nebraska Kearney.

Bearcat women's basketball had last week off due to COVID-19 protocols, but are set to return to action against Hays and Kearney. Head coach Austin Meyer and freshman Jillian Fleming took a look ahead at the tough MIAA battles on the horizon.

Northwest Missouri State track & field also compete for the first time this weekend since March 1, 2020. Head coach Brandon Masters told John Coffey on the Coaches Show that he's looking for his athletes to have fun and shake off some of the rust.
